Born in Tainan, Taiwan, in 1963 and raised in Oregon and Kentucky after his family emigrated to the United States, Jensen Huang co-founded NVIDIA in 1993 with a thesis that few took seriously at the time: that specialized parallel processors would eventually outpace general-purpose CPUs for the most demanding workloads of the coming decades.
